Kylex LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") operates the website kylex.io (the "Site") and the Lodestar software application (the "Software"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Site and Software.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

• Your source code, project files, or file contents
• The contents of your .lodestar.md files or session context
• Git diffs, commit messages, or repository data
• API keys or credentials
• Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information (PII) through the Software

All session context data generated by Lodestar stays on your local machine and in your Git repository. We never transmit, access, or store your project data.

Anonymous Usage Telemetry

The Lodestar Software collects anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the product. This telemetry includes:

• Software version, operating system, and CPU architecture
• Which CLI command was run (e.g., "save," "review," "summary")
• A randomly generated anonymous installation identifier (UUID)

This telemetry does not include any project names, file names, file contents, source code, API keys, or personally identifiable information.

Telemetry data is used solely for aggregate usage statistics — for example, understanding how many users run the Software per week and which features are most used. This data cannot be traced back to any individual person.

Opting out

You may opt out of telemetry at any time during initial setup (lodestar init) or by updating your local configuration. The Software will continue to function normally with telemetry disabled.

Update Checks

The Software periodically checks for available updates by contacting our server. This check transmits your current Software version, operating system, and architecture. No project data or personal information is transmitted during update checks.

Website Data Collection

When you visit kylex.io, we collect minimal first-party analytics:

• Page views and CTA clicks

We do not use third-party tracking pixels, cookies for advertising, or any cross-site tracking mechanisms.

Email Collection

If you voluntarily provide your email address through our Pro Early Access sign-up form, we collect your email for the sole purpose of:

• Sending you Lodestar release updates
• Notifying you about Kylex Pro availability

Your email is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than those stated above. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We use Loops as our email provider.

Data Storage and Security

Because we do not collect personal data through the Software, there is no personal data to store or secure on our end. Anonymous telemetry data is stored on secure servers and retained only as long as needed for aggregate analysis.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information through the Software, there is generally no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have provided your email through our website, you may:

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any email
• Request deletion of your email from our mailing list by contacting us

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
